Quality Engineer The Quality Engineer will work directly with suppliers, customers, and all areas of the production process to ensure product quality meets or exceeds specifications as determined by drawings or the customer.ResponsibilitiesCreate, develop, and/or request gages for new launch and corrective action activitiesCreate and/or develop programs for measurement systemsLead corrective action activity meetingsCreate and/or develop control plansReview PPAP materialsAnalyze data from capability studiesCreate and/or develop gage plans (IPGR)Provide feedback for new launch process reviewsCarry out APQP 1st run set up approvalsCreate and/or develop receiving/dock inspection criteriaCommunicate with customers and suppliers to resolve quality issuesCreate and/or develop standard work instructionsParticipate in continuous improvement activitiesCreate and maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others. Support and positively contribute to a culture of continuous improvementCommunicate with supervisor and co-workers in a professional mannerDemonstrate commitment to the company Quality Management system and Objectives.Requirements4-year degree in Engineering preferred or related education and 2- 3 years of related experience preferredExperience with GD&T, Measurement System Analysis (MSA) preferredExperience with APQP, Control Plans, FMEA, SPC, Process Capability preferred Experience working with metal casting, machining, and/or assembly preferred
