We’re looking for a technically inclined, detail-oriented individual to take ownership of quality for our growing ball screw product line—a high-impact, high-potential product applicable across many industries. Whether you’re early in your career looking to build real-world experience or have years of experience and find value in driving quality production results, this is an opportunity to grow into a key role within a fast-paced manufacturing organization.You’ll work closely with engineering, operations, and customers to ensure our ball screws meet the most rigorous quality standards. This role is hands-on and wide-ranging: you'll help develop inspection plans, interpret inspection data from advanced equipment, support R&D runoffs, and turn insights into actionable improvements for production. As the primary quality point of contact for this product line, your work will be critical to our growth and customer satisfaction.What You’ll DoOwn Quality for Our Ball Screw Program: Act as the primary quality contact for this product line, supporting both early-stage R&D and full production.Manage NPI Quality Requirements: Oversee new product introduction (NPI) sales orders, including contract review, inspection planning, and processing.Lead AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI): Coordinate and execute FAI activities and documentation to meet aerospace customer requirements.Support Runoffs and Validation: Lead process validations and capability studies, ensuring quality is built into new processes from the start.Develop and Implement Inspection Plans: Collaborate with engineering to build practical, effective inspection plans that align with customer and internal standards.Engage Directly with Customers: Work with aerospace clients to review inspection documentation, lead root cause and corrective actions, and ensure clear, proactive communication.Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify improvement opportunities in inspection processes, documentation, and quality systems.Champion a Quality-First Mindset: Encourage operators and engineers to take ownership of product quality, supported by your leadership and guidance.Who You AreA technically minded problem solver who’s eager to learn and take ownership.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.Curious, hands-on, and driven to improve systems and results.Energized by working closely with customers, operators, and engineers to solve real problems.What You BringBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.Prior internship, co-op, or working experience in a manufacturing environment (highly regulated or high-precision would be a bonus — but not required).Strong interest in quality systems, inspection tools, and precision engineering.Familiarity with (or eagerness to learn) GD&T, CMM, vision systems, and inspection software like SolidWorks and InspectionXpert.Solid analytical, communication, and documentation skills with a keen eye for detail.
