The Quality Co-op plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products: Develops andates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation, utilizing knowledge in mechanical engineering. Responsibilities Root cause Analysis implementation of corrective action process related concerns Assist Quality Manager in establishing, implementing, and maintaining the quality management system Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen lean methods, ect. Interface with engineering and operations to ensure transfer to production of new products are in accordance with approved data. Support Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with relevant requirements of the Quality Management System. Conduct audits including closing out audit findings reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions. Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints. Create and Maintain company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, ect. Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the overall activities of receiving / outgoing functions. Continuously improving QA receiving inspection process and procedures. Ensure timely resolution of supplier, corrective actions and preventive actions. Preparation of QA reports. Requirements Minimum of high school education and actively pursuing a minimum of BS degree in Engineering. Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) Use and be capable of using measuring tools (optical comparators, micrometers, calipers, scales, ect.); interpret visual aids and must be able to perform simple shop math, Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Ability to keep accurate records Ability to follow documented procedures and standards and able to gain an understanding of Quality System. Excellent time-management skills with the ability to work independently with little supervision Prefer knowledge and understanding of GD&T Employment at Bettcher Industries is contingent upon the successfully completing both a pre-employment background check and a drug screening.
