As a critical member of the application development team, the Quality Engineer will work closely with all stakeholders and be primarily responsible for ensuring the quality of the application through test documentation, test design, and automation. Candidates should have analytical skills, the ability to pick up new skills quickly, and a strong sense of ownership. FMX develops a software-as-a-service (SaaS) product that serves education, property management, manufacturing, and others in the facilities management market. We were founded in Columbus, Ohio, but are now headquartered “in the cloud”.

Responsibilities:
As a Quality Engineer, you will:

  • Work with stakeholders to understand product requirements and use cases.
  • Verify code developed during the SDLC.
  • Identify, document, design, execute, and maintain detailed test cases.
  • Assist developers in troubleshooting test failures.
  • Write automation test scripts using JavaScript.
  • Support quality process improvements.

What we need to test:

  • A SaaS web application written in C# / ASP.NET MVC framework
  • An API with GET, POST, PUT, and DELETE endpoints

Requirements

Preferred Experience & Qualities:
Preferred Technical Skill Set:

  • Extensive end-to-end and acceptance testing experience.
  • Experience working with relational databases (SQL).
  • Competency with web application architecture and technologies, including multi-platform/browser support.
  • Scripting language knowledge – preferably JavaScript
  • Experience using Playwright
  • API Testing skills
  • Write code that is readable, extensible, and maintainable
