KX Technologies is seeking a highly motivated Quality Engineer to join our expanding Quality Function in West Haven, Connecticut. This position ensures all quality requirements (QMS), including customer requirements are achieved. This position also provides input to the Quality Manager on process or procedural system improvements.Job Requirements:Responsible for maintenance and improvement of Quality Management System in accordance to ISO9001.Responsible for product and process audits to ensure compliance. Tracks root causes to quality related problems and coordinates corrective actions, monitors defect reduction programs and reviews effectiveness of systems and procedures. Analyze failures and corrective and preventive actions in response to customer complaints.Supports and maintains QA data and management systems.Collaborate with other departments on several projects involving resolution to quality issues and improvement projects.Conducts quality related training with employees.Maintains Quality documentation such as: control plan, pfmea and process flow for manufacturing operations.Highly involved in the preparation of PPAP documents including process and equipment qualifications, testing and validation, design review and others.Maintain the non-conforming material reports.Drive for continuous improvement activities to enhance the quality system.Experience/Education RequirementDegree in Engineering or Science with at least 1 year of QA and/or Engineering experienceStrong knowledge of ISO 9000 quality management systemFamiliarity with Capability , SPC, MSA, GRR is an advantageStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated success in applying lean or six sigma tools is an advantage.Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsDemonstrated ability working successfully in a cross functional environment to achieve quality goalsA team player, self-driven and able to work under pressure with a sense of urgency
