Salary: $90,000-$110,000 Benefits: Healthcare, vision, dental, retirement planning Onsite in Elmhurst, IL 7:00am-4:00pm M-F Quality Engineering Manager to lead its Quality Engineering function. This individual will collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Sales, Customers, and Vendors to qualify and maintain both new and existing products and production processes. This role serves as the primary technical authority for quality requirements related to product launches, validation, and ongoing manufacturing support. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience, deep manufacturing quality knowledge, and hands‑on experience within wire harness and/or related plastics manufacturing environments. Key Responsibilities Manage team of quality professionals Budget management Oversee Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), PPAP processes, validation activities, and production process launches Serve as the technical liaison for internal teams and external customers regarding quality standards and compliance Maintain and manage quality documentation including specifications, PPAP files, NCRs, CARs, and change management records Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on manufacturing quality, process capability, and operational efficiency Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment 3+ years of management or supervisory experience Prior experience in manufacturing engineering or strong collaboration with manufacturing teams preferred Background in wire harness, plastics or injection molding experience or similar industries preferred ISO 9001 proficiency required; familiarity with AIAG, IATF, or similar standards preferred Project management experienced required Strong communication skills required Technical Competencies Strong working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kanban, and structured problem‑solving tools Expertise in ISO-based Quality Management Systems Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings with GD&T proficiency Experience with injection molded plastics, tooling, fixtures, and gaging systems ERP system familiarity (NetSuite preferred; other systems acceptable) Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general business software Experience managing ECN/ECO processes and structured corrective action systems Additional Requirements Strong leadership and project management skills Excellent communication and organizational capabilities Ability to travel domestically on a regular basis; occasional international travel may be required English fluency required; Spanish proficiency is a plus Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
