Job Description:
Airbus Mobile Manufacturing Site is looking for Quality Inspectors to join our A320 Final Assembly Line (FAL) located in Mobile, Alabama.
You will be part of a team that is responsible for the execution and confirmation of quality inspections, providing an orderly flow of daily quality activities in line with the production schedule as part of the total production process with the aim of delivering on time and on quality.

The team at the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility assembles the finest aircraft in the world, along two (soon to be three) production lines for the A220 and A320 Family aircraft. On the shop floor you will be surrounded by individuals who are passionate about aviation and skilled in areas like electrical, structures, and systems quality. Your working environment:
Nearby on Airbus Way you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. The facility, which strengthens the U.S. aerospace industry, is part of Airbus strategy to enhance its global competitiveness by meeting the growing needs of its customers in the United States and beyond.

Your challenges:
- Complete technical inspections in the production process in the context of the authorization of the manufacturing operation.
- Prepare and perform visual, incoming, first article, and final inspections during aircraft manufacture for compliance with design specifications, customers and certification requirements.
- Detail the technical inspections performed in the SAP system and other IT systems and complete other aircraft documents as well as prepare first article inspection reports.
- Support problem solving and participate in Quality Survey requests.
- Review production schedule and work to meet schedule timelines.
- Participate in internal Quality Gates through timely point closures.
- Take an active role in department preparation for aircraft milestones.
Your boarding pass:
- Three years of experience as a Quality Inspector in an aviation company or equivalent, with an emphasis on mechanical and/or structural and/or electrical components and assemblies.
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
- Knowledge of drawing systems, inspection plans, and inspection coordination.
- Knowledge of the principles, practices, methods and tools used in production.
- Handling and use of inspection tools used for measuring (mechanical, optical, and electrical)
- Use of Google Workspace Applications and SAP
- High school diploma or GED.
- Preferred: Previous experience in an aviation mechanic or technician role
- Preferred: Airline experience
- Preferred: FAA Airframe & Powerplant License with inspection authorization
