Job Title: Quality Inspector
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Location: Camarillo, CA
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Position Function:
Performs and verifies visual, dimensional, electrical, mechanical, environmental and chemical, inspection functions relating to source, first article, receiving, in process, final and test operations using company or customer supplied drawings, equipment and/or procedures. Activities are detail oriented. Employee may be required to work overtime
and travel when requested.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Reviews and approves inspection/test data
Able to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and procedures
Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Interface with customer/Government source inspection personnel
Maintenance of inspection records in accordance with company procedures
Generate and assist in the corrective/preventive action process
Understand and support the Quality Management System
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Job Knowledge / Skills / Experience Preferred:
Must communicate (read and write) in English
Must use basic measuring tools (caliper, micrometer, etc.)
Basic four function mathematics, some SPC data collection
Must not be color blind, nor noncorrectably vision impaired
Familiar AS9102 and creating AS9102 FAIR's
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Quality Inspector
Education or Experience Preferred:
High School graduate, or equivalent
American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Inspector (CQI)
Three - Five (3-5) years of manufacturing experience
Three - Five (3-5) years inspector experience
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Does not hire nor terminate
Does not make recommendations regarding hiring and terminating
