Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Quality Inspector to work on-site with our client, a worldwide designer, manufacturer, and integrator of a precision control components company. This position involves leveraging innovative techniques to support process reconfigurations, ensuring optimal quality, and maintaining process integrity. You will play a key role as the link between Machine Shop Management, Quality Audit, and Engineering teams, driving continuous improvement and process optimization. Responsibilities:
- Utilize advanced process qualification techniques to facilitate process reconfigurations.
- Perform precision inspections using various tools and techniques, including surface plates, height gauges, sine bars, air gauging, and surface analyzers.
- Conduct first-piece inspections, evaluate defective hardware, and assess new program conversions.
- Maintain a high level of integrity while collaborating with management, quality teams, and engineering to resolve issues effectively.
- Operate and create programs for Zeiss CMM and perform advanced Statistical Process Control (SPC) analysis.
- Provide technical support to machinists, including blueprint interpretation and inspection equipment guidance.
- Advise Engineering on new inspection techniques and process improvements.
- Document inspections and manage data using mainframe systems (WDS screens: WO 5, WO 19, WO 18, WO 25, INV 5, CM 2-1) and personal computers (Excel, Word, Access).
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in advanced blueprint reading, geometric tolerancing, and complex trigonometry.
- Experience with precision measuring tools and techniques.
- Skilled in process evaluation and problem-solving within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Experience with Zeiss CMM programming and operation.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this role.
