1 Resource Group is seeking a qualified Quality Inspector to join our esteemed client located in the Port Arthur, TX area. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards and specifications as outlined in the work order and technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

    • Read drawings and specifications, for final inspection of all parts.
    • Familiar with measuring (inspecting) products with micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.,
    • Inspects and approves/rejects incoming parts/assemblies & materials, by confirming the specifications to our standards. Quarantine unacceptable parts and inform to concerned department.
    • In-process inspection of all manufactured production parts by confirming the sizes to drawings/specs.
    • Document all inspection results in the in-process & final inspection forms.
    • Ensure all quality checks are in place before the finished part leaves the shop.
    • Generate NCRs for parts that are not confirmed to specifications, summarize defects, and communicate to production supervisor & engineering for disposition.
    • Maintain and update the calibration log for all instruments in the shop and final inspection.
    • Support operations in getting the hydro reports completed.
    • Accept or reject finished items, and generate final inspection reports.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in grinding or a related field is required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent GED is essential.
  • Completion of a minimum of four weeks of supervised training is mandatory, with the instructor determining readiness for independent inspections.
  •   Read drawings and specifications, for final inspection of all parts.
  • Familiar with measuring (inspecting) products with micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.,
