Responsibilities Plan, develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate the total quality assurance function for Escalator Plant. Oversee the development and implementation of the quality system. Manage and direct activities in the Quality Assurance activities. Develop and manage division quality organization including management of ISO certification. Facilitate and participate in quality improvement projects. Plan and implement quality training. Plan quality objectives and measurement systems. Participate in product development teams - assure quality product, process, testing. Perform and document results of factory and job site audits. Provide supplier management with purchasing personnel. Assist in development of Quality module. Develop and maintain customer feedback / satisfaction system. Record measurable statistics which this position impacts (). Manage plant scrap levels. Manage and resolve field warranty claims. This position will require overseas travel twice a year. Company can assist with passport. Education BS / BA Manufacturing Engineering, Management, Bus. Administration or a related field. Experience 3-5 years of Quality leadership experience. 3-5 years of supervisory / management experience Specific Knowledge, Skills & Behaviors ASQ Certification as Quality Manager or Quality Engineer preferred. ISO 9000 quality system development, implementation, certification experience. Computer skills -Microsoft Suite of Products. SAP R / 3 a plus. Ability to work with different functional areas and management levels within the company. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
