Textum OPCO, LLC is hiring a Quality Manager for it's Dayton, OH composite manufacturing operation.

Whether it's thermal protection systems for space vehicles, preforms for CMC components, or preforms and fabrics for carbon-carbon processing, we have the experience and expertise to help ensure our customer's success both as a reinforcement provider and through delivery of finished parts.
The primary function of the Quality Manager is to lead the definition, execution, and deployment of the Quality Plan in conjunction with the plant management team and serves as the Management representative for the Quality management system. In this role, they will manage quality assurance resources to ensure product integrity consistent with established industry standards, government regulations and customer requirements. They will provide total quality guidance to customers, suppliers, internal and external interested parties. They will also perform continuous improvement activities in targeted areas.
This is a full-time, direct hire position with 1st shift hours.

Responsibilities
Perform a wide variety of coordination tasks, including but not limited to: maintain quality system, quality checks of production and R&D products, reviewing customer quality requirements and certification creation.
- Direct the development and implementation of the plant’s quality management system.
- Promote risk-based thinking.
- Ensure that policies and procedures regarding all aspects of quality assurance and improvement are rigidly adhered to during all manufacturing processes, applying the tools and enablers of the quality management system.
- Develop and implement plans to achieve operation and group quality goals. Including managing a quarterly AS9100 management review process.
- Ensure compliance to customer quality requirements and act as primary contact for customer on quality issues.
- Ensure that a document control procedure is adopted to approve, review and update all changes to critical documents within the scope of QMS.
- Manage inspection, corrective action, SPC, Returned Materials, internal audit activity, and other documentation issues as needed for the operations.
- Manage and control changes to the QMS and processes.
- Regular communication and reporting to leadership.
- Ensure that all suppliers used by the organization are selected, evaluated and reevaluated and that records of this assessment are maintained.
- Deployment and routine maintenance of the Textum Quality Management System (TQMS) and Self-Assessments.
- Lead the Quality Leading Indicator (QLI) Strategy
- Ensure that all new staff are inducted into the requirements of QMS related to their own roles and responsibilities. Provide update training as necessary.
- Continually improve the capability of the Quality organization through ongoing talent development activities.
- Review customer quality requirements on incoming orders.
Requirements
A B.S. Engineering degree is required
Minimum of five (5) years experience in Quality OR a minimum of ten (10) years experience in a Manufacturing role within a production environment is required
Experience working in a regulated quality system environment (AS9100, NADCAP, IATF 16949, IS09001, IS013485) is required
Must be an exclusive US citizen
Must be willing and able to apply for and hold a US DoD security clearance
- Minimum two (2) years of experience managing people is required
- Computer literacy with competency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and customer web-based portals is required
- Aerospace industry experience is required
- AS9100D Management Representative is a plus
- AS9100D Lead Internal Audit Certification is a plus
- ASQ Certified Manager Quality/Operational Excellence (CMQ/OE) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred
- Proficient in Power BI and MS Excel is a plus
- Six Sigma Blackbelt certification from an accredited training institution or other major manufacturer preferred
- Demonstrable experience using and applying Lean tools and methods is preferred
- Experience working with textile weaving is a plus
- Experience working with composite materials is a plus
- Candidates will be required to pass a drug test
