Job Summary
The Quality Manager ensures that all products meet the highest standards of precision, consistency, and reliability throughout the manufacturing process. This role oversees quality control procedures, guides and trains production staff, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and enhance operational efficiency. By maintaining rigorous quality standards and collaborating across teams, the Quality Manager directly contributes to customer satisfaction, production excellence, and long-term company success.

Work Hours (Shift)
1st Shift – Flexible start & end times

Pay (Hourly or Annual Salary)
$20-25/hr.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and enforce quality control procedures for all sheet metal products, ensuring consistent, top-tier results.
  • Inspect raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods to maintain accuracy, precision, and compliance with specifications.
  • Train, guide, and mentor production staff in best practices for quality, helping the team deliver reliable and consistent output.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements that increase efficiency, reduce defects, and enhance overall product performance.
  • Collaborate with production, sales, and customer service teams to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, testing, and corrective measures to support continuous improvement and compliance.
  • Ensure all operations align with safety protocols, industry regulations, and company policies.

Skills and Abilities
  • Proven experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment, with a solid understanding of production processes and quality standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and schematics, and confidently use inspection tools and measurement techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work accurately with fractions, decimals, algebra, and geometry.
  • Clear communicator who can explain quality expectations, document findings, and share results with cross-functional teams.
  • Hands-on experience with lasers, forklifts, and hand or power tools is a plus.
  • Comfortable using computer systems to enter data, track results, and support quality documentation.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Education and/or Experience
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 2+ years in quality control within a manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Capable of lifting and maneuvering materials up to 30 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, industrial environment with noise and movement.
