1. Position Summary: Direct and manage all aspects of quality assurance of products and process control activities including testing and inspection, technical support, plant level customer service, management of quality system based on ISO 9001:2015 and similar third party certifications.
2. Major Responsibilities/Activities:
a. Ensure conformance of Cerros products to applicable customer requirements, industry specifications, and regulatory requirements. Ensure product requirements are clearly documented and verifiable. Maintain Quality measures / metrics and implement improvement plans where necessary.
b. Administer customer complaint systems. Lead efforts to improve quality of Cerros products and service. Maintain active and timely customer support. Administer the preventive and corrective action system.
c. Monitor quality system capability / performance and lead efforts for improvement. Administer the ISO 9001.2015 Quality Management System; review and approve quality system policies, procedures and work instructions. Guide and direct the internal audit system.
d. Coordinate data analysis using statistical techniques as applicable. Encourage and foster an environment in which QA personnel are able to develop and maintain competency in process control concepts useful for Quality Assurance such as Statistical Process Control, Failure Mode Effect Analysis, Gage R&R, etc. Also prepare PPAPs for customer review.
3. Other Functions:
Provide active support to plant-wide improvement teams and the plants manufacturing and management activities.
Provide guidance and assistance to other Marmon QA departments on an as-needed basis.
Visit customers or provide support to investigate quality concerns and resolve technical issues.
Review/recommend/approve purchase requisitions/AFEs associated with QA activities.
Monitor scrap/reject data, communicate to staff, and assist in scrap reduction efforts.
4. Decision Making: Audit manufacturing processes as needed. Provide authorization for product returns and decide disposition of customer complaints. Select the vendors/service providers for QA activities and laboratory equipment. Recommend QA yearly objectives to General Manager.
6. Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

a. A Bachelors degree in engineering. Familiarity with Metallurgy is preferred but not required. Three years of experience in process control/QA in a managerial/ supervisory capacity is preferred.
b. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and data analysis.
c. Experience in managing/supervising ISO quality system management standards (TS 16949 and IATF 16949 are a plus).
d. Experience in Microsoft Office 365.
e. Knowledge of using Eddy Current testing and ASTM standards used to make copper tubing or heat exchangers are a plus.

7. Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervise activities of the Quality Department and provide direction for QA personnel as necessary.
8. Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a manufacturing environment; No special requirements or restrictions.
