An established component manufacturer is seeking a driven, career-focused Quality Operations Leader to manage, oversee, and continuously improve product and process quality across our manufacturing operations. This role is critical to ensuring customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System to ensure ongoing customer and regulatory compliance
  • Oversee First Article Inspection (FAI) activities in accordance with customer requirements
  • Serve as the primary quality interface for customers, auditors, and regulatory bodies
  • Lead, develop, and cross-train Quality and Inspection Department personnel
  • Coordinate internal audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Implement and maintain statistical methods and structured problem-solving techniques
  • Establish and maintain inspection methods, measurement systems, and special process controls

Qualifications Most Valued for This Role

  • 4+ years of experience in quality or inspection roles within a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9102, and customer-specific quality requirements
  • Experience with product measurement techniques and calibration systems
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Background in metal fabrication, special processes, and inspection methodologies
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective customer relationships
  • Collaborative leadership style with the ability to work effectively with company department or function leadership
  • Detail oriented and hands-on self-starter with the ability to manage multiple coincident urgent priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
