Quality Project Leader Apply
Job Purpose The New Model Quality Project Leader is responsible for the development and implementation of quality strategies to meet the new model (product) goals for All Terrain Vehicles/Power Equipment/Lawn & Garden Products produced at North Carolina Manufacturing (NCM). Provides direct project leadership to the NCM quality‑related departments. Key Accountabilities Lead the quality‑related activities to include the development of quality goals and targets and support the creation and implementation of additional quality improvement initiatives (Q‑themes) of their assigned projects. Provide direction and support of quality planning activities to include the creation and maintenance of Specified Action Plans (SAP) to achieve project goals and targets, and evaluate quality departmental SAPs to ensure completeness and consistency with the overall new model project SAP activity. Ensure the timely maturation of the product specification for the new model project, providing the quality voice and vision in the planning and execution of the project from a company‑wide viewpoint (DEB), directing the application of Specification Notices and Manufacturing Instructions to trial build events, and coordinating advanced design change application activity with R&D. Lead quality‑division new model project problem‑solving and countermeasure activity while balancing development QCD and applying situational leadership principles to navigate diverse viewpoints, unique quality challenges, and business constraints. Confirm the quality readiness of project preparations for the new model launch, providing direction to departments as needed to ensure smooth project completion and launch, coordinating quality department readiness reporting, and participating in NCM plant‑wide department project readiness checks as needed. Qualifications, Experience, And Skills Minimum Educational Qualifications: • Bachelors degree or equivalent in related field Minimum Experience 1–3 years of project leadership experience. Experience in Power Sports product manufacturing quality or quality‑division functions. Other Job‑Specific Skills Understanding of Q‑side new model roles and responsibilities. Understanding of SEDB (Sales, Manufacturing, R&D, Purchasing) functions. Understanding of new model development characteristics (timelines, schedules, etc.). Excellent multi‑tasking, prioritizing, and decision‑making skills. Ability to positively influence & motivate team members. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, Power Point). Working Conditions This is an onsite job and will require the incumbent to work based out of our North Carolina office. Travel: Average of 1224 times per year, depending on project demands. Physical: Primarily desk work, frequent keyboarding. Overtime: Overtime expected based on project demands/responsibilities.
