Job Description

The ISO 9001 Quality Manager will be responsible for leading the company’s initiative to apply for, achieve, and sustain ISO 9001 certification. This role requires strong leadership, process development, and compliance expertise to ensure our quality management system meets international standards. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on professional with experience in quality assurance, process improvement, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive plan for obtaining ISO 9001 certification.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to establish, document, and maintain quality management system (QMS) processes.
  • Conduct gap analyses to identify areas for improvement in current quality systems.
  • Collaborate with leadership and department heads to ensure company-wide engagement and alignment with ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Oversee internal audits, facilitate third-party audits, and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.
  • Develop training programs to educate employees on quality policies, procedures, and compliance.
  • Maintain quality documentation, records, and procedures in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for ISO 9001-related activities, including certification bodies and auditors.
  • Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Create SOPs and Work Instructions (WIs) to be used companywide and establish a system for archiving them.
  • Work with department heads to develop lists of all SOPs and WIs needed for their departments.
  • Oversee department heads in managing the SOP and WI creation projects for their teams.
  • Audit SOPs and WIs for completeness, accuracy, and effectiveness.
  • Implement training programs on SOPs and WIs to ensure companywide adherence.
  • Audit performance accuracy and consistency in following SOPs and WIs.
  • Oversee the development of the company's application for ISO 9001 certification and prepare for the audit to determine whether the company successfully obtains certification.
