Quality Tech - 1st Shift

Quality TechnicianThe Quality Technician is to follow proper procedures, complete inspections and report results as required in a timely manner. Works in Quality department as part of a team to support and maintain the Quality objectives of the department. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:To perform inspections using Work Instruction for component or product.Basic reporting of daily inspections and findingsAble to learn and follow AQLUse basic measurement equipmentAble to maintain requirements against outside influenceWilling to do additional work as needed.Assure nonconformance's are isolatedAny additional work as required by Quality ManagerPerforms fire testing on various heater products that can weigh up to 50 lbs.Education & Experience:High School graduatePrevious work experience in Quality or Engineering a plusJob Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Must be dependable, willing to learn, accurate, demonstrate initiative and work well with othersMechanical aptitude is preferredMust be able to work independently and carry out testing or inspection requirement according to requirementsAble to read prints and use or learn to use necessary measurement or testing equipmentAble to read and write English at a high school graduate levelComfortable using propane, kerosene, natural gas or high voltage in the process for testing heatersPhysical Demands:Able to stand for long periods of timeAble to lift 50 lbs.
