Quality Assurance TechnicianJBS is seeking an hourly Quality Assurance 2nd Shift Team Member! Position starts at $20.50 per hour. Benefits Include:Paid vacation and holidaysMedical, dental and vision benefits401(k) planBetter Futures ProgramOnsite CafeteriaCareer development opportunitiesEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesConducts quality assurance testing on products and raw materials on the plant floor.Utilizes and/or adapts inspection equipment to meet quality control standards, make suggestions about procedures, standards and equipment to facilitate work and maintain product quality.Investigate and determine cause of faulty work and consult and advise production supervisors as to corrective measures.Ensures that sell-by and production dates are correct on product runs.Analyze facts or circumstances surrounding individual problems to determine what action should be taken within the limits of standard practices.Measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent certificationExperience in food manufacturing quality control preferredAbility to speak, read, and write EnglishGood verbal and written communication skillsBilingual (Spanish) preferredGood math skillsMust be well-organized with good attention to detailDisplay strong work ethic and positive attitudeAdaptable and dependable with ability to follow direction and work cooperation with othersMust maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearanceAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved, instructions and to deal with problems involving a few different variables.Work EnvironmentACTIVITIES: - Manufacturing work on the plant floor, standing or sitting for long hours, bending, stooping, and lifting.HEARING: - Must be able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information, sometimes with loud background noise.REPETITIVE MOTION: - Must be able to frequently and regularly use wrists, hands, and or fingers.VISUAL ABILITIES: - Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents, products, or operate machinery.PHYSICAL STRENGTH: - Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds throughout the day.WORKING CONDITIONS: - Must be able to work for long hours in a no-kill food processing environment, where it is wet, damp, and cold.
