Job Purpose Plans and directs the activities related to the inspection functions in a manner which meets company standards and methods as determined by quality assurance or other engineering departments. Manages the activities of the team and is responsible for staffing decisions, training and development, and performance management of the staff. Outlines and implements training procedures of employees for the inspection operation including drawings, prints, schematics and quality assurance standards. Assures smooth operation of the inspection unit, maintaining daily records and reports. Prioritizes schedules based on product introduction and manufacturing schedules, maintaining a minimum turnaround time. Coordinates the disposition of rejected materials. Makes recommendations for capital expenditures and manpower for inspection area. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Responsibilities Leads and manages the QA Inspection and Receiving functions. This person will drive the quality team to implement improvements on quality, efficiency, and cost reduction. Provides guidance to subordinates to achieve goals in accordance with established policies. Establishes and recommends changes to policies which affect immediate organization(s). Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Supervises QA and Receiving Inspectors to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems. Develops and administers schedules and performance requirements. Responsible for selecting and developing people and provides leadership to QA and Receiving team. Helps to define requirements, plans, schedules resources effectively, monitors achievements and costs, and removes barriers to the group’s success. Provides guidance and advice to group members related to their approaches and methodologies in pursuing their assigned responsibilities. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred. Minimum of 8 years of experience in a supervisor role. Minimum of 10 years of experience performing inspection. Oracle knowledge preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required. Previous NPI experience preferred. Previous Internal Audit experience in Training, Document, ESD, Equipment, Materials/Conf Coat, Inspect/Recv/Ship, Reports and Survey/Feedback. Benefits Salary Range (annual): $80,000 - $90,000 Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
