QUALITY TECHNICIAN

NOVI, MI

We are searching for Quality Techs to join an automotive manufacturer in Novi, MI.
Excellent opportunity for growth and advancement along with great benefits and more.

1st shift: 5am to 3pm | 2nd shift: 3:30pm to midnight

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work independently to perform random sampling testing on all manufactured products throughout the facility.
  • Utilize knowledge of inspection and measuring to perform inspections, verifying that the products are meeting design or spec requirements
  • Keep records and communicate non-conformances to support quality initiatives and projects according to customer requirements
  • Perform visual inspections, pull tests, pressure tests, and deconstruct products to check integrity
  • Audit containers and packaging for proper labels/counts
  • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
  • Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions, calling for repairs.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.

SKILLS

  • Analyzing information, reporting research results, documentation skills
  • Ability to lift 30lbs repeatedly
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal & written
  • Able to use both hands, wrists, and arms with continual motion
  • 6 months minimum experience with hand-held measuring devices (i.
    e.
    .
    calipers, rulers, gauges)
  • Previous knowledge of injection molding quality
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Able to work overtime when needed
