APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Benton Harbor, MI looking to add a Quality Technician to their already amazing team. Their primary responsibility will be to inspect and verify parts to ensure they meet quality standards. Keep reading for more details!
What’s in it for you:
  • 1st and 3rd shift opportunity – 7am to 7:15pm or 7pm to 7:15am.
    • Rotating 3- and 5-day work weeks.
    • Week A: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
    • Week B: Monday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
  • Contract-to-hire position - you'll be hired based on attendance, performance and client needs
  • Competitive hourly rate at $17.50/hr. + shift premium for nights

What your day will look like:
  • Set up and run CMMs/FCS fixtures per Product Control Plan; review inspection reports and report issues.
  • Perform additional gauging not covered by CMM and escalate out-of-tolerance results.
  • Check and document production scrap and defects every 2–3 hours.
  • Carry out back purge procedures when needed.
  • Review job documentation and report any deviations from blueprints or instructions.
  • Assist with product launches, PPAPs, machine setups, and prototype inspections.
  • Support other tasks as assigned to meet company goals.
What we are looking for:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous manufacturing experience in a quality role
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Familiar with OSHA, EPA, and industry standards (ASTM, API, NFPA, ASME).
  • Experience with Ford, GM, and Chrysler specifications preferred.
