Pure Ground Ingredients (Minden, NV) is a spice and botanical manufacturer and is looking for a Quality Control Technician. The Quality Control Technician provides support to the Quality Department through collecting and analyzing samples, and performing and documenting facility checks.

Job Duties:

    · Collecting product samples, sending samples out for testing or to customers, and performing in house analysis

    · Maintaining and organizing samples and incoming material paperwork

    · Perform sanitation inspections on equipment

    · Perform calibration checks on equipment

    · Communicate with other departments on quality related concerns

    · Practice and adhere to the established standard operating procedures and policies

    · Adhere to regulations on food safety, food quality, and good manufacturing practices

    · Identify and report food safety and quality issues (non conformances/out of specification product)

    · Work with management to maintain food safety and food quality, and communicate any related concerns

    · Complete paperwork and sampling in a timely manner

    · General filing for Quality Department

    · Ensure required documentation is filled out clearly and accurately, following good documentation practices

    · Review test results and assist with generating certificate of analysis on released batches

    · Assist with recording and tracking test result data

    · Maintain a clean and organized work area

    · Dress out in company supplied PPE as required in designated areas

    · Perform other duties as needed

Requirements

  • · High School diploma or GED · Experience working in a food manufacturing facility or experience in quality preferred · Perform basic math functions: add, subtract, multiply, divide, percentages, fractions · Computer literate using Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook · Work in a fast paced team environment Pass pre-employment screening
