Salary: $45,000/yr Work Hours: Mon thru Thurs 6am - 4:30pm

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Implement, maintain, and enforce the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).

Requirements

DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS

• Assist the Quality Manager with day-to-day tasks based upon existing QMS
• Assist in writing/updating procedures, work instructions, and other controlled documentation
• Support Manufacturing by resolving Quality issues
• Perform internal audits and attend external audits as needed
• Assist in handling customer returns, completing root cause analyses, and driving pragmatic corrective and preventive actions
• Train employees at various levels of the organization on relevant QMS topics
• Aide in creating Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEAs, and Control Plans
• Responsible for customer PPAPs
• Understand the importance of “do what you say”

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Associate degree in Engineering desired, although a combination of education and directly related work experience will also be considered
• 1-3 years of Quality and/or Manufacturing Engineering
• Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office required
• Demonstrated problem solving skills and analytical thinking
• Experience with Flowcharting software
• Working knowledge of ISO9000:2015 a plus
• Lean/6σ experience a bonus
• Ability to self-direct, multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Forklift certification is required, therefore prior forklift experience is a plus
• Must be able to read a tape measure

The employee must regularly lift and/ or move up to 40 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and the ability to focus.
