Quality TechnicianResponsible for maintaining quality-assurance processes, testing products, recording and analyzing results data during product development and manufacturing.Essential Functions and Activities:Conducts testing procedures during manufacturing processes to ensure that products comply with quality standards.Inspects components before assembly, analyzes trial products during development, or tests finished goods.Performs failure mode analysis of materials and processes.Collects data to solve production issues and recommend improvements.Assesses customer complaints and investigates claims.Performs inspection audits on materials and processes to ensure proper specifications are tolerances are being upheld.Ensures that regulatory compliance is in place where required.Maintains and calibrates gauges and testers.May prepare inspection plans, train new technicians, and evaluate quality costs.Supports and participates in Morgan Olson's PPS team efforts.Adheres to Quality policy by exceeding customer expectations, being customer-focused and supporting continuous improvement activities.Adheres to Safety policies and practices behavioral based safety 100% of the time.All other duties as assigned.Physical Requirements/Hazards:Job requires extensive standing, stooping, or bending, lifting, reaching, twisting and turning to assemble parts. Lifting will involve fabricated parts and assemblies weighing anywhere from several pounds to 50 pounds. Parts weighing more than 50 pounds are handled with a hoist or with help from another team member.PPE: Safety shoes, Safety glasses with side shields are always required. Other PPE such as hearing protection, gloves, safety goggles, respirators, etc. may be required depending upon the task at hand.Qualifications:High school diploma with 3-5 years' quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environmentAn understanding of blueprints and statistical informationGood communication and listening skillsMust understand pass/fail testsGood analytical skillsAttention to detail and an aptitude for working with data a plusBasic engineering concepts are helpfulBenefits:Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k)Company paid life insurance10 company paid holidaysVacation and personal timeEqual Opportunity Employer
