Quality Technician I - Williamson, NY The Quality Technician is responsible for performing standardized qualitative and quantitative tests on work‑in‑process and finished products to ensure compliance with company and/or customer quality standards. Shift and Schedule This is a full‑time position on nights, from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am, on a 2‑2‑3 rotating schedule. Flexibility to work overtime and weekend as needed is required. Position Responsibilities Conduct organoleptic and analytical tests at various stages of compounding and packaging to ensure compliance with standards. May include the use of pH meters, HPLC, Malvern Mastersizer, and other instrumentation. Submit samples for microbiological testing, maintain test results, and calculate batch adjustments for certain products. Approve batches for packaging and conforming finished product for shipment and place non‑conforming product on hold for further analysis. Make corresponding inventory movements in SAP. File and maintain retained samples. Calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation. Prepare reagents and solutions for use in testing. Observe conditions and practices in compounding, packaging, and finished goods storage areas, making recommendations for improvement. Total Rewards Pay starting at $25.36 per hour plus a $0.60 shift differential. The employee will move to a higher rate of $26.66 per hour in the quarter after their 6‑month anniversary. Requirements High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred. 3 years of related Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Knowledge around water chemistry and microbiology is preferred. Experience with Documentation and Record‑Keeping is necessary. Drive to learn and solve problems. Teamwork oriented. Capability to work independently, prioritize, and manage time.
