Title: Quality/Test Engineer 3

Location: Griffin, GA – Engine Packaging Plant Building A (Onsite)

Duration: 12  months (extensions likely + potential to convert to direct hire)

Pay Rate: Roughly $35/hour W2 + Benefits OR $38/hour C2C

 

 

Job Description:
The Quality Engineer will support efforts in defect reduction, internal and corrective action (C/A) audits, and collaborate across departments to conduct root cause analysis and drive resolution. This role is integral to maintaining product and process integrity while contributing to the organization’s quality culture.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform root cause investigations (8D) and issue defect reports
• Devise sampling procedures and forms for quality data tracking
• Conduct audits and evaluate testing equipment and procedures
• Create training material and lead sessions on quality control
• Lead teams in quality testing and data analysis
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality goals are met

Qualifications (Required):
• Bachelor’s in Engineering (preferred), OR
– Associate’s degree with 7+ years’ experience
– Master’s degree with 3+ years’ experience
• 5–7 years of quality engineering experience
• Expertise in blueprint reading and root cause investigation (8D)
• Strong communication and time management skills

Qualifications (Desired):
• Experience with SAP and Six Sigma
• Knowledge of PPAP, metrology, and quality control systems

Soft Skills Required:
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Disqualifiers:
• Internships do not count toward required experience
• HS Diploma alone does not meet education requirements

Typical Day & Interaction with Team:
• Daily tasks include defect investigation, report generation, and team collaboration
• Fast-paced and friendly work environment
• Regular interaction with multi-functional teams
