Responsibilities
  • Test vehicle systems and components to ensure they are secure and functioning properly.
  • Diagnose issues by isolating systems or components causing problems.
  • Perform test drives to verify repairs.
  • Maintain efficiency and accuracy when diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
  • Repair or replace worn parts before vehicle damage or breakdown occurs.
  • Use tools, including power tools, machine tools, and hand tools, for various tasks.
Compensation
  • Monthly performance bonuses available.
Requirements
  • Ability to quickly and accurately diagnose problems.
  • Knowledge of automotive systems.
  • Effective analytical and communication skills.
  • Strong skills in reading, computers, and mathematics.
  • Willingness to learn new technology, repair procedures, and specifications.
  • Comfort using electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED (technical degree preferred).
  • Certifications: ASE certifications preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a service department.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Positive, friendly attitude.
