Job Description
Akkodis is seeking an RD Engineer for a contract job with a client in Maple Grove, MN. Candidates must have experience in implant design and development, along with CAD modeling and FEA simulation skills to be considered.
Rate Range: $37/hour to 49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
RD Engineer job responsibilities include:
Design and develop new products, materials, or processes for projects of moderate complexity, ensuring performance and quality standards.
Conduct engineering tests and experiments, analyze data, and prepare technical reports to support product development.
Troubleshoot design, material, or process issues and implement improvements based on test results and performance analysis.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including quality, manufacturing, regulatory, and marketing to ensure project success.
Create and maintain engineering documentation, including specifications, tooling designs, and test protocols.
Contribute to innovation by generating new product or process concepts and submitting idea disclosures.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Biomedical, Chemical Engineering, or a related field (master’s preferred).
3–4 years with a BS or 1–2 years with an MS in relevant engineering discipline.
Proven experience in the design and development of medical implants.
Proficiency in CAD modeling, FEA simulations, and rapid prototyping.

Pay Details: $37.00 to $49.00 per hour
