Role : R&D Engineer
Location : St. Paul, MN (Onsite)

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong foundation in Security Architecture for embedded or product systems.
• Proven experience in Vulnerability Management and secure design principles.
• Working knowledge of FDA Medical Device Cybersecurity Regulations.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-53 and Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) 2.0.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner closely with R&D and engineering teams to define and integrate cybersecurity architecture into next-generation medical devices.
• Lead threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability management across embedded product lines.
• Define and support security architecture and requirements for new features and system updates.
• Collaborate with external penetration testing vendors.
• Maintain a strong balance between technical analysis and process/documentation aligned with regulatory expectations.

Qualification:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Solid engineering background with a focus or transition into embedded/product cybersecurity.
• Understanding of embedded systems, E-PROMs, and electromagnetic systems.
• Product or embedded security experience is preferred over enterprise security.
