Overview TITLE: CMO Production Technician DEPARTMENT: Production REPORTS TO: The Director of R&D SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS: The CMO Production Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining equipment in the contract manufacturing operation facility or warehouse and preparing items for distribution and/or storage. Our products include those that can be purchased at and similar bulk and white label consumer goods and edibles made with high quality hemp extracts and other innovative and beneficial active ingredients. The job includes preparing and packaging proprietary recipes and formulations, cleaning and operating factory equipment, checking products, ensuring that all machinery runs smoothly, while adhering to all factory safety guidelines and standards. Major Duties and Responsibilities Operates assembly and production machinery safely. Monitors equipment to ensure that products are being processed properly. Makes sure that workstation is clean and free of hazardous materials. Addresses problems with production equipment and machinery and fixes them as needed. Cleans equipment. Properly weighs, records and stores finished products. Observes and removes faulty product raw material from production preparation stores. Inspects finished product to ensure it is up to quality standards. Affixes labels, company logos, and other exterior details to products as instructed. Packs up completed products and prepares them for shipment or storage. Keeps factory floor clean. Unloads, organizes, and stocks shipments. Adheres to all safety guidelines dictation the production and handling of materials in the production area. Ensures that all production deadlines are met. Reports issues or problems with production to immediate supervisor. Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS A high school diploma is preferred. Good communication skills, reading, and the ability to work well with people is essential. Experience measuring, mixing, pouring, organizing, following recipes/formulas. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The job is performed indoors in a variety of settings including office, manufacturing floor, and warehouse. Exposure to loud noises, dust, dirt, and smoke may occur. Protective safety clothing may occasionally be required including appropriate clothing, shoes, gloves, and goggles as needed. Activities include extended periods of standing or sitting and extensive work with measuring devices and other machinery. WORK ENVIRONMENT First shift working hours will be spent in the production facilities and warehouse. Moderate to heavy physical activity such as walking and lifting is required on a daily basis. Individuals may be required to handle or transport fragile product. Protective gear is required and is provided by the company. Safety gear such as goggles, gloves and PPE.
