Job Summary

Our client is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist II to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the application and electronic documentation of ionizing radiation to patients following established protocols and instructions. This role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and maintaining a safe treatment environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer ionizing radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by a physician.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of treatment parameters and patient information.
  • Operate and maintain complex radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators and CT simulators.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions and modify treatments as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Provide compassionate care and support to patients and their families.

Requirements

  • Education: Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training in Radiologic Technology.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist.
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • ARRT Registered
    • Texas Medical Board - MRT
    • CPR-BLS
    • Radiologic Technologist – Texas

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient in operating radiation therapy machines such as linear accelerators and CT simulators.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with personal computers.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Benefits

Salary Range

  • Low: $60,320
  • High: $75,400
