Key Responsibilities:

• Safely and accurately operate radiation therapy equipment to deliver prescribed treatments.

• Perform high-quality radiation therapy procedures in accordance with physician instructions and treatment protocols.

• Conduct pretreatment preparations, including simulations and the fabrication of treatment devices.

• Perform daily QA (Quality Assurance) on linear accelerators and CT simulators.

• Utilize hospital and Radiation Oncology EMR systems for recording patient treatments, documenting positioning information, and managing care coordination.

• Educate and support patients to ensure a positive and compassionate experience.

• Collaborate with the Radiation Oncologist and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

• Participate in on-call procedures as needed.

• Maintain a calm and professional demeanor, even in stressful situations, and resolve issues appropriately.

Requirements:

• Education: Graduate of an approved program in Radiation Therapy.

• Certification: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required.

• Licensure: Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of New Mexico.

• CPR Certification: Current certification required.

• Experience: 3-5 years preferred; minimum of 1 year in radiation therapy is required.

• Knowledge of the operation, methods, and safety standards for ionizing radiation equipment.

• Ability to handle radiation sources safely and competently.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Location: In-person at Las Cruces, NM 88001. Relocation with employer-provided assistance is required.
