About the Role : We are seeking an experienced RF & Network Engineer to manage, troubleshoot, and optimize wireless communication infrastructure at our mining operations in Odisha. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands‑on expertise in Wi‑Fi deployment, Point‑to‑Point (PTP) & Point‑to-Multi-Point (PTMP) wireless links, network maintenance, and field technical support, especially in challenging outdoor and rugged terrains. Key Responsibilities : RF & Wireless Communication Design, deploy, and maintain Wi‑Fi zones across mining areas, administrative blocks, and outdoor operational locations. Set up, optimize, and troubleshoot PTP and PTMP wireless links for long‑range connectivity inside the mine and remote monitoring points. Conduct RF surveys, link budget analysis, and site feasibility assessments. Network Operations Install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure including: Switches, routers, access points Patch panels and structured cabling Network diagnostic and monitoring tools Perform regular network performance monitoring (bandwidth, latency, traffic load, uptime). Field Technical Support Troubleshoot connectivity issues for field devices, ( sensors, control equipment, IoT units). Repair and splice fiber/copper cables; work with color‑coded wire systems. Ensure adherence to safety standards and compliance with mine‑site regulations. Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination Interact with hardware vendors to evaluate pricing, specifications, and compatibility. Coordinate with IT teams, operations engineers, and external service providers. Prepare cost estimates for network upgrades and infrastructure expansion. Documentation & Reporting Maintain logs for network changes, outages, troubleshooting steps, and equipment installation. Generate performance reports and recommend improvements. Required Skills & Qualifications 5–10 years of hands‑on experience in wireless communication and network operations, preferably in field environments. Strong experience with wireless PTP / PTMP, Wi‑Fi deployments, and outdoor RF equipment. Knowledge of diagnostic tools, network monitoring systems, and structured cabling. Ability to read, interpret, and execute technical instructions and schematics. Expertise in cable repair (fiber/copper) and patch panel assembling. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work independently in rugged and fast‑paced environments.
