Job Summary:
The Radiologic Technologist performs high-quality radiology procedures in accordance with established exam protocols. This role ensures accurate imaging, patient safety, and compliance with radiation and infection-control standards. The technologist communicates effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare teams, maintaining professionalism and quality in all procedures.
Essential Functions:
- Perform radiology procedures accurately and efficiently, following established exam protocols.
- Maintain imaging quality and production standards.
- Understand radiation dose reference levels and monitor patient exposure, taking appropriate actions if exceeded.
- Communicate clearly with patients and families, using AIDET principles, to explain procedures and assess tolerance.
- Prepare patients and procedure areas, including positioning, adjusting immobilization devices, and setting equipment controls.
- Adhere to safety, infection-control, drug, and radiation policies; use proper sterile techniques for invasive procedures.
- Maintain equipment and work areas to meet quality and cleanliness standards; collaborate with engineers and physicists to optimize equipment performance.
- Report issues to management and assist in maintaining inventory of supplies.

- Deliver services accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with system and regulatory standards.

- Administer first aid and use emergency carts effectively.
- Ensure patient satisfaction by limiting wait times, providing courteous service, and addressing feedback.
- Demonstrate and maintain knowledge of care for all age groups: newborn, pediatric, young adult, adult, and geriatric.
- Serve as a preceptor, training new team members and introducing new services or initiatives.
Certification / License / Registration:
- New graduates accepted.
- ARRT-R Radiography (ARRT-R)
