Radiologic TechnologistLocated in a tight-knit community in Kings County, Adventist Health Hanford has been serving the Central Valley since 1965. We are comprised of a 173-bed hospital and many outpatient clinics with primary and specialty care services. Hanford residents are proud of their city's historic charm and family-friendly atmosphere. Within an hour's travel time, Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks can be enjoyed.Operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of body as ordered by physicians. Positions and instructs patients prior to examination, adjusts the x-ray equipment and determines proper voltage as well as current and desired exposure time for each radiograph.Job RequirementsEducation and Work Experience:Associate's Degree in radiologic technology: PreferredLicenses/Certifications:American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiography (ARRT-R): RequiredRadiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA and HIBasic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: RequiredFluoroscopy license in state of employment: Required in CA within 6 months of hireFacility Specific License/Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: RequiredFluoroscopy (FLUORO): RequiredEssential Functions:Performs screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation. Explains procedures to patients and answers questions. Prepares equipment for use as needed. Prepares examination rooms for patient exams. Positions patients for imaging exams. Monitors patients and ensures safety during exams.Produces diagnostic images. Documents exam information.
