The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for but not limited to: Performs radiographic examinations as directed, including general radiographic,Dexascans, fluoroscopic and tomographic procedures,in accordance withdepartmental imaging protocols andACR guidelines. Completes aseptic technique training andconsistentlymaintainsInfection control standardsas assigned. Assistspatients on and off table andusesappropriate lift-assistdevices aswarranted. Performs all other related duties as assigned to ensure thatoptimumradiologic care, efficient and orderly flow of patients and safe, expedient office operation occurs daily. Operates all departmental clerical equipment, including the computerized information system and copy machines, to ensure that office recordkeeping and documentation areaccurate,timely, and easily accessible. Performsqualityassurance, testing anddocumentationin accordance withNJ Department of EnvironmentProtection andACR standards. Provides informal supervision and instructional advice to non-technical personnel assigned to the work area. Removes soiled gowns and linens from patient areas according to the Office Administrator’s schedule and cleans them on-site following AMI policy, using AMI-provided cleaning products. Performs other duties asrequiredand assigned. This full time, 40 hour per week position will provide coverage in the Somers Point, Galloway, Egg Harbor Township, and Cape May Court House locations. Occasional coverage in Manahawkin or Atlantic City may be scheduled as needed. The work schedule includes Monday-Friday, with eight (8) hour shifts between the hours of 7:30am-8pm. Rotating Saturdays include a shift time of 8am-12pm. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs. Qualifications Qualified candidates for this position must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and are registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in Radiography (R). Must possess valid and current NJ DEP Radiologic Technologist license. American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross CPR/BLS certification is required prior to the start of employment. Candidates must have full knowledge of all aspects concerning radiation protection. Must be able to adapt to changing technologies as they occur.
