Advanced technical position that provides clinical expertise and education to the Radiology department.Ensures that a high-quality product or service is delivered in support of the strategic plan and the functions according to the policies, procedures, philosophy, goals and objectives.Performs radiologic examinations on identified patients according to department procedures and protocols by positioning patients, and operating radiographic equipment while utilizing the assessment of patient age and diagnosis to produce high quality images.Minimizes radiation to the patient, self and others by practicing appropriate radiation protection techniques, restricting radiation field size, using patient and personnel shielding devices and utilizing low dose exposure factors.Adheres to radiation safety standards in compliance with regulatory agencies and department policies.Provides training to new employees or for new tasks to existing employees; serves as resource to colleagues on issues/questions and provides guidance; coaches for improved performance by providing appropriate feedback; maintains a positive environment.Communicates concerns/issues to Refuah leadership team, radiologic consultants, physicist, and/or maintenance team as appropriate.Maintains organized records for quality control, data collection and quality assurance for regulatory compliance and accreditation.Maintains exam rooms, supplies and equipment according to performance standards.
