MOR doctors are the official team physicians for the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Bulls, Chicago Fire Soccer Club and DePaul University Athletics.Ready to join? We are looking for a Radiologic Technologist Float who would report to our Manager of Radiology. This full-time position will be at our Westchester, IL clinic located inside the Prairie Medical Center. This position is in an outpatient setting with a Monday through Friday schedule, no weekends or holidays. We offer competitive compensation, an incentive bonus opportunity, and a comprehensive benefits package.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare patient for radiologic procedures and takes x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.Maintain working knowledge in the use of PACS, DR and CR Radiologic equipment.Use C-Arm where appropriate.Prepare medications for, and assists the physician with Fluoroscopic procedures.Maintain Radiology rooms and stocks necessary medical and radiologic suppliesPrepares and positions patient for diagnostic imaging procedures.Adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified area of body requested by physician.Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.Moves imaging equipment into specified position, determines exposure factors on basis of height, weight, portion of body involved, and degree of penetration required, and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce images of proper detail, density, and accuracy.Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff.Performs specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures.Assists physicians in fluoroscopic and special x-ray examinations. Measures and prepares medication and contrast media.Processes images and reviews for proper identification and quality control.Prepares images for reading by the requesting physician.Notifies the Radiology Manager regarding malfunctions and repairs as needed.Properly uses EHR to enter CPT codes for billing purposes.Other duties as assigned.Education and/or ExperienceGraduate of an accredited X-Ray Technologist ProgramARRT Certification is required.IEMA Certification is required.What's in it for you?
