Cath Lab TechJob Title: Cath Lab TechProfession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab TechDuration: 13 weeksShift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (06:30 - 19:00)Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience requiredLicense: WA Licenses required to applyCertifications: - Required: ACLS, BLS - Preferred: ARRT R, ARRT Advanced CertMust-Have: - Previous Charge Experience - Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias - Experience with obtaining vitals and holter monitoringDescription: Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience. Candidates must be familiar with inpatient, outpatient, and stress tests. Experience in performing EKG lead placement and preparing access sites is required. Knowledge of cardiac procedures including diagnostic cardiac catheterization, interventional cardiac catheterization, and percutaneous coronary interventions is essential. Skills in accurate monitoring, equipment setup, and maintaining a sterile field are necessary. Familiarity with left and right heart catheterization and various specialized cardiac procedures is preferred. Candidates should have the ability to work with rapid response teams and understand isolation precautions. Experience with various medical devices such as IABP, Impella, and ventricular assist devices is important. Candidates will be required to float between different roles and assist in the overall function of the team. Interdisciplinary support will be provided from various departments including respiratory services and pharmacy. The unit has a daily census of 17 and operates 4 procedural rooms.
