Radiology Interventional Radiology Apply
- Performing interventional radiology procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist
- Working on ambulatory and hospital patients as requested by a licensed provider
- Following established protocols for diagnosing disease and injury
- Maintaining production and quality of imaging procedures
- Communicating with patients to identify their service requirements and ensure correct exams are performed
- Preparing patients and area for procedures
- Adhering to safety requirements, infection-control, drug and radiation policies, protocols and techniques
- Maintaining equipment and work area to meet quality and cleanliness standards
- Working with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal operational capabilities of equipment
- Reporting issues to management or appropriate department
- Assisting in maintaining supplies inventory
- Screening people entering the department according to approved policies and procedures
- Maintaining medical imaging records in appropriate system and according to department policies and standards for interpretation in a timely manner
- Performing tasks autonomously without need for routine oversight
- Administering first aid and using emergency cart when required
- Serving as a preceptor by providing quality training to new team members and on new services and initiatives
- Taking call, if required
- Holding ARRT-R Radiography certification
- Obtaining one of the following certifications within two years of hire date: ARRT Cardiac Interventional Radiography (ARRT-CI), ARRT Interventional Radiography (ARRT-VI), or ARRT Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (ARRT-CV).
