- Job Title: Multimodality Technologist
- Role: Perform imaging procedures in two or more disciplines under the supervision of a Radiologist. At least 25% focus in an advanced discipline such as CT, MR, Nuc Med or IR. Provide services to both ambulatory and hospital patients as requested by a physician or other licensed provider for the diagnosis of disease and injury.
- Ensure high quality multimodality procedures, adhere to established standards and procedures.
- Understand and demonstrate knowledge of radiation dose reference levels and radiation dose monitoring.
- Utilize iSTAT point of care testing for obtaining creatinine levels.
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining the procedure, and assessing patient's ability to tolerate exam.
- Prepare patients and areas for procedures, and adhere to safety requirements, infection-control, drug and radiation policies.
- Maintain equipment and work area to meet quality and cleanliness standards.
- Obtain, verify, and maintain all relevant documentation such as requisition/chart, patient history, pregnancy status, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain medical imaging records in appropriate systems, according to department policies and procedures.
- Provide services in a timely, accurate, and cost-efficient manner in compliance with established System and regulatory standards.
- Serve as preceptor by providing quality training to new team members.
- Required to take calls, if necessary.
- Education: Graduation from an Accredited Program
- Experience: Less than 1 Year of Experience
- Certification/License/Registration: BLS, MRT and certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography in TWO imaging modalities.
