  • Location: San Angelo, TX, 76903
  • Shift: 02:00 PM - 12:00 PM
  • Job Type: Permanent
  • Guaranteed Hours: (40 hours/week)
  • Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Position Summary:

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) studies in accordance with physician orders and established protocols. This individual ensures patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in diagnostic imaging procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI scans following established protocols and physician instructions.
  • Prepare and position patients for MRI examinations, ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Operate MRI equipment and monitor images to ensure quality diagnostic results.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and complete documentation in the hospital's imaging system.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Adhere to radiation safety and infection control policies.
  • Inspect and maintain MRI equipment; report any issues or malfunctions.
  • Provide excellent patient service and support throughout the imaging process.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI Technology program.
  • Certification:
    • ARRT (MR).
    • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
  • Experience:
    • New graduates are welcome to apply.
    • Previous MRI experience.
  • Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail and patient care.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
