- Following radiation disposal procedures.
- Working with radioactive drugs, or radiopharmaceuticals, to assist physicians and surgeons in diagnosing a patient's condition.
- Delivering radiopharmaceuticals in prescribed doses to specific areas, such as tumors, for medical treatment.
- Performing high-quality nuclear medicine procedures, according to the exam protocol, in a timely manner.
- Preparing the patient and area for procedure, including positioning the patient, adjusting immobilization devices, and setting exposure factors.
- Ensuring patient and employee safety by adhering to safety requirements, infection-control, drug and radiation policies, protocols, and techniques.
- Maintaining equipment and work area to meet quality and cleanliness standards.
- Working with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal operational capabilities of the equipment.
- Assisting in maintaining supplies inventory.
- Ensuring that the department is safe for entry by screening individuals according to approved policies and procedures.
- Providing services in a timely, accurate, and cost-efficient manner in compliance with established System and regulatory standards, policies, and procedures.
- Successfully administering first aid and utilizing the emergency cart.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction by limiting wait times, providing courteous service, remaining professional, and reviewing patient satisfaction scores.
- Holding a Graduation from an Accredited Program.
- Having less than 1 Year of Experience.
- Holding a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Medical Radiologic Tech (MRT) license, and ARRT-N Nuclear Medicine Tech (ARRT-N) or Cert Nuclear Med Tech (CNMT) certification.
