Looking for a rewarding imaging role without evenings, weekends, or holidays? UPMC Shadyside is hiring a Diagnostic Tech Advanced to support our Outpatient Department—and your schedule will include three daylight shifts per week only (7:30 AM–4 PM or 8:30 AM–5 PM)!

What You’ll Do
- Performing imaging procedures at an advanced level without constant supervision, applying independent judgment and technical skill to achieve high-quality results.
- Assisting with quality assurance testing, regulatory initiatives, and other advanced technical efforts alongside Clinical Specialists.
- Demonstrating proficiency with specialized equipment (O.R., Fluoro procedures, etc.) and performing additional diagnostic tasks such as EKGs and lab draws (where applicable).
- Monitoring and contributing to quality control efforts to maintain the highest imaging standards based on current protocols and best practices.
- Functioning independently and supporting additional sites or off-shift coverage when needed, while staying closely connected with leads and management.
- Collaborating with Radiologists on protocol development and departmental standardization efforts.
- Serving as a mentor by training and supporting students and fellow technologists.
- Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology.
2 years Diagnostic experience required (for Advanced level. No experience required for non-Advanced).
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- ARRT certified in Radiography.
- CPR or BLS Required.
- CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
