Shift: 3rd Shift (12:00 AM 8:00 AM)
Overtime: As needed
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time, Hourly (40 hours/week)
Target Start Date: ASAP

Reports To: Shift Lead Process Technician / Shift Supervisor

Position Summary

The Operator / Cell Technician is responsible for monitoring plastic injection molding presses and automated assembly cells in an automotive manufacturing environment. This role ensures product quality, proper machine operation, and adherence to safety and production standards while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Essential Job Functions
  • Monitor plastic injection molding machines and automated assembly cells

  • Perform visual inspections of molded plastic parts

  • Access real-time production screens for hours remaining and scrap entry

  • Conduct final audits on finished products

  • Label, package, and handle plastic products per work instructions

  • Monitor auxiliary equipment and report abnormalities

  • Maintain cleanliness of work cell and adhere to 6S standards

  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Secondary Responsibilities (Lead Operator Support)
  • Print and apply part and pallet labels

  • Assist with NCR (Non-Conformance Report) processes

  • Help complete and verify first-shot and last-shot documentation

  • Assist supervisors with machine assignments per shift

  • Support shift change communication

  • Scan finished goods to pallet labels

Qualifications & Experience
  • 2 3 years of experience in automotive injection molding and assembly automation preferred

  • Ability to follow work instructions and maintain a safe work environment

  • Basic computer skills

  • Basic math and reading skills

  • Strong attention to detail and quality

Education Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and reach throughout the shift

  • Ability to lift:

    • 20 50 lbs occasionally

    • 10 25 lbs frequently

    • Up to 10 lbs continuously

  • Ability to read production screens and documentation

  • Reasonable accommodations provided as required

Working Conditions
  • Safety glasses required for certain tasks

  • Exposure to fumes, dust, and mist

  • Manufacturing environment with occasional office tasks

  • Minimal travel required

  • Valid Driver's License required
