The Role:
The role of a 2nd shift Warehouse Manager is to lead and manage the picking and staging teams who are picking all inventory needed for the next day's activity. Ensures quality control checks are performed on outbound items to provide the best possible inventory to our clients; manages the download inspection teams to inspect all returning items to return those that are in showroom condition back to an available status by storing them safely in their respective bin locations, and addressing the deficiencies in less than desirable items.
This position is expected to be on a fast-paced growth development path.
Starting salary based on experience $75,000 to $90,000 annually.
2nd shift hours between 2pm-10:30pm.
BASIC FUNCTIONS:
GENERAL
- Arrive to the work area by the scheduled start time
- Maintain a positive, professional attitude

- Assist in the ongoing cleanliness/organization of the warehouse
- Assist others as needed
- Communicates well with Management keeping them informed of time off requests
- Keeps management informed of challenges they experience within the workplace
- Other assignments and tasks as assigned by the manager
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and local fire and safety regulations
- Create a culture of safety by administering and participating in weekly safety meetings with their team members
- Review monthly equipment maintenance to ensure all warehouse equipment is performing properly
- Oversee team members loading/unloading trucks/containers consisting of boxes/packages of product/supplies to ensure that team members are working safely and handling items in accordance with Vesta standards
- Oversee team members to successful complete projects throughout the warehouse to keep products stored in a clean, organized, safe manner
- Perform Quality Inspections on work performed by others.
- Oversee the training of personnel in all warehousing procedures including sufficient cross training of personnel assigned
- Conduct new hire orientations
- Labor planning and scheduling
- Drive departmental initiatives to promote productivity and high-quality customer service by reporting on & utilizing key metrics to track and measure performance
- Implement new concepts and strategies to enhance operational efficiencies
- Conduct reviews on employee performance within their teams
- Administer Coaching and Counseling sessions with team members within their department
- Assists the manager in maintaining the accuracy of our inventory to ensure that the Virtual location and status of an item within the WMS matches the physical location and physical condition of the item.
- Responsible for the reduction in costs through efficient and effective processes, procedures and leadership.
Requirements
- HS diploma or equivalent,
- A minimum of one year of warehouse management experience.
- Furniture experience preferred.
