This is a contract to hire position for a large food manufacturing company!!
Responsibilities include:
1. Measuring ingredients using analytical balances for use in benchtop testing and pilot plant trials, with instruction provided
2. Support for pilot plant trials Attending onsite trials to support mixing, labeling, packing samples - potentially light analytical tests such as temperature, pH
3. Sample preparation for liquid/powder beverage and dessert mixes Sample assembly including heating, mixing, cooling, storing, diluting, and measuring samples
4. Collect and send out samples for testing Log samples in lab management system, deliver to internal lab or ship samples for external tests, distribute results as needed to developers
5. Shelf life testing support Sample preparation and logging for analysis (see above items #3 and 4), tasting samples, support with clean up following testing
6. Inventory management of ingredients and chemicals logging chemicals for disposal, ordering materials as needed
7. Specification creation Submitting requests for supplier information to build specifications within internal management system
8. Specification management Updating records for materials, formulas, and trade items to reflect accurate information; requesting cross-functional approvals as needed.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree required.
2. 2-5 years experience as an R&D technician or similar roles in the MANUFACTURING industry.

- Curiosity to learn and ask questions.

Job Type: Temp-to-hire
Pay: $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 40 per week
