SUMMARY:
- The Reading Paraprofessional position supports students in the reading program.
- Reading Paraprofessionals work on student days following T/ESD school calendar year
- Typical scheduled hours for Elementary: 8:30-4:00p / Middle School: 8:15AM - 3:15PM / High School: 7:30-3:00
- Position schedule may vary depending upon assignment
- 11 paid holidays & 7 days of paid time off (pro-rated based on start date)
- The hourly pay-rate for Reading Paraprofessional is $23.47 per hour
READING PARAPROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reading Paraprofessionals will provide direct instruction to students in the reading support program, working under the supervision of a Reading Specialists. Reading Paraprofessionals will deliver small group reading instruction to students as part of the regular education intervention program. In consultation with the reading specialist Reading Paras plan, deliver instruction, administer assessments, and participate in the collection, organization, and interpretation of learning data.
Requirements
EDUCATION / EXPRIENCE:
- Candidates must be a PA certified teacher.
CREDENTIALING :
(Clearances current within 12 months)
- PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
- PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
- PA Department of Education FBI – Use code 1KG6XN
- TB Screening - current within 3 months
- Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts
- Candidates must be a PA certified teacher.
