Job Title: Controller Location: Ridley Park, PA Department: Finance & AccountingCompany Overview:A dynamic and growing commercial real estate company specializing in property mangement is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join their team and lead the financial operations of the business.Position Summary:The Controller will oversee the accounting operations of the company, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial real estate finance and accounting, and the ability to support strategic financial planning, asset management, and compliance functions.Key Responsibilities:Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, cash flow, bank reconciliations, and payrollManage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes; ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAPDevelop and monitor internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial information and safeguard company assetsLead budgeting and forecasting processes across the organizationPrepare consolidated financial statements for multiple real estate entities, including joint ventures and partnershipsCoordinate year-end audits and work closely with external auditors and tax advisorsEnsure compliance with loan covenants, debt service requirements, and investor reportingCollaborate with asset management, property management, development, and acquisitions teams on project budgeting, financial modeling, and performance trackingEvaluate and implement accounting software upgrades or integrations to streamline operationsSupport the CFO in financial planning, strategy, and analysisQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership rolePrior experience in the commercial real estate industry is strongly preferredStrong understanding of GAAP, real estate accounting principles, and financial reportingProficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, QuickBooks, or similar) and Microsoft ExcelExcellent analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlinesPreferred Attributes:Experience managing a team and fostering professional developmentBackground in real estate development accounting, cost tracking, or construction financeFamiliarity with partnership accounting, waterfall distributions, and investor reportingBeacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.California residents: Qualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.If you would like to complete our voluntary self-identification form, please click here or copy and paste the following link into an open window in your browser: of this form is voluntary and will not affect your opportunity for employment, or the terms or conditions of your employment.
